Under 5's

Under 5s

Lawnton Gymnastics offers classes for under 5s which are a great way to introduce your child to the world of physical activity and movement. The classes are designed to be fun and friendly while also helping to develop important skills such as coordination, balance, strength and flexibility.

 

Gymnastics classes for under 5s can be great fun for your little ones and are a great way to give them a head start in physical development.

At Lawnton Gymnastics, there are two separate classes available for under 5s

Kindy Kippers

2-4 year olds

Classes focus on fundamental movement skills and basic gymnastics skills such as tumbling, rolling and balancing. They also offer an introduction to basic apparatus such as the trampoline, the beam and the bars. Parents are required to join in with their child and help them have fun with the activities. 

Pre Prep Flyers

4-5 year olds

Pre Prep Flyers classes build on the skills learnt in Kindy Kippers, and introduce new elements such as vaulting and more advanced apparatus work. The classes also focus on physical coordination and fitness, while encouraging children to enjoy physical activity.

Development Programs

MAG Development Program

Levels 0-2

Our boys training in our Development Program will start to learn the Australian Levels Program (ALP) routines training between 1-4 hours per week. Here our boys will move into a structured program where they will start to develop their strength and flexibility required to move through to our MAG Junior ALP Program.

Lawnton Gymnastics has added Level 0 to our program to allow boys that need more time to develop their strength and skill before moving into level 1.

WAG Development Program

Levels 0-3

Our girls training in our Development Program will start to learn the Australian Levels Program (ALP) routines training between 1- 6 hours per week. Here our girls will move into a structured program where they will start to develop their strength and flexibility required to move through to our WAG Junior ALP Program.

Lawnton Gymnastics has added a level 0 to our program to help the girls transition into the ALP. In our development Program, our girls with start to learn the fundamentals on gymnastics with basic strength, flexibility and skill being introduced. The girls will also be introduced to in-house competitions and with on selection, outside invitationals.

MAG Junior Australian Levels Program

Levels 3-6

Our MAG Junior Program comprises of boys from level 3 to level 6 that compete in the Australian Levels Program. In this program the emphasis is on developing strength, flexibility, aerial awareness, and technical skill that will set them up for an easier transition into the Senior Levels.

Attention to detail required moving into this program intensifies as the boys will compete in all major competitions including Regionals, State Championships, State Clubs and on selection, National Clubs.

In this program, the boys will start to learn the importance of Team Culture, dealing with disappointment and understanding the amount of work it takes to development all facets of gymnastics while training 6-16 hours per week.

WAG Junior Australian Levels Program

Levels 4-6

Our WAG Junior Program compromises on girls from level 4 to level 6 that compete in the Australian Levels Program. In this program the emphasis is on developing strength, flexibility, aerial awareness, choreography, and technical skill that will set them up for an easier transition into the Senior Levels.

Attention to detail required moving into this program intensifies as the girls will compete in all major competitions including Regionals, State Championships, State Clubs and on selection, National Clubs.

In this program, the girls will start to learn the importance of Team Culture, dealing with disappointment and understanding the amount of work it takes to development all facets of gymnastics while training 9-16 hours per week.

Seniors Programs

MAG Senior Open Levels Program

6-10 Open

Our Senior Open Levels Program enters the optional routine scene where the boys can develop skills and routines based on their strengths. By the time these boys reach our Senior Open levels program, a great team atmosphere has already been created and they start to learn how to compete and train for each other as well as themselves.

The boys will train from 12 – 20 hours per week with the demand on developing their strength, flexibility, and skill intensifying. Our boys will compete in all major competitions including regionals, state championships, state clubs and national clubs. These boys will also have the opportunity to qualify themselves onto State Teams and Australian Open Levels Tours.

WAG Senior Open Levels Program

7-10 Open

Our Senior Open Levels Program enters the optional routine scene where the can girls develop skills and routines based on their strengths while also following the requirements for each level. By the time these girls reach our Senior Open levels program, a great team atmosphere has already been created and they start to learn how to compete and train for each other as well as themselves.

The girls will train from 12 -16 hours per week with both morning and afternoon sessions with the demand on developing their strength, flexibility, Choreography and skill acquisition intensifying. Our girls will compete in all major competitions including regionals, state championships, state clubs and national clubs. These girls will also have the opportunity to qualify themselves onto State Teams and Australian Open Levels Tours.

MAG International Pathways Program

The boys in our international Program are a selected group of boys that will continue through the international pathway. Starting in the 7 Under 13 division moving through to 8 Under 14, 9 Under 15 and 18 and finishing in Senior International.

The International Pathways program requires a huge amount of dedication and incredible work rate. With the rise in competition standard and difficulty, our boys will train between 20 – 28 hours per week which including both morning and afternoon sessions. It is anticipated that boys moving into this pathway will qualify onto Gymnastics Australia Squads.
